It's not like the movies...

Life is not like what you see in the movies or what you see on tv.

People who watch too much television or movies (especially korean drama's) have unrealistic expectations in life. They forget that television or movies are fantasies and are not real.

What they see, they believe will happen. What these fantasies do is give a false hope.

A hope that they will get what they want.

Of course, this is not true (not always). You have to put effort to achieve what you want - but realise that you will not always get it.

And also the problem is that people wish on luck. That luck will help them achieve their hope.

This is a trap. And in the process, clouds their judgement.

Movies, television or stories plays an important role in life. But it shouldn't take you into a path that is unrealistic, fairytale-like expectations - because it's unlikely that it'll happen.

Use your common-sense.

A new movie by Michel Gondry (who made one my favourite films ever - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) called "Be Kind, Rewind", is going to be released soon. It has a quote in the trailer that says , "the best movies, are the ones we make up." And I think that's fucking true!

If you think you know what that means, then I think you know why I think that's true.
